Some of the best adventures are the ones that make you work for the view.

This two-day High Weald bikepacking adventure starts and finishes at Oxted station, making it easy to escape London and head into a landscape of rolling hills, ancient woodland and peaceful country lanes.

Over 138km and almost 2,000m of climbing, this is a rewarding route that will test your legs and reward your effort. You'll tackle quiet lanes, sweeping descents and some of the High Weald's best viewpoints before spending the night at a beautiful lakeside wild campsite, complete with woodland showers, composting toilets and an on-site brewery.

Whether you're looking for a bigger challenge or simply want to experience the satisfaction of earning your adventure, this guide gives you everything you need to spend less time planning and more time riding.

Day 1: Oxted→ Furnace Brook

67km • 1,000m climbing

Leave Oxted behind and watch the landscape change as you climb into the peaceful countryside of the High Weald.

This is a day of big climbs, quiet lanes and beautiful views, with every ascent rewarded by the feeling of being further away from everyday life. By evening, you'll arrive at Furnace Brook, ready to relax beside the lake and enjoy a slower pace of life outdoors.

Day 2: Return to Oxted

67km • 730m climbing

The final day brings another 71km of beautiful riding through the High Weald, with plenty of climbs, peaceful roads and moments to stop and take it all in.

Two days, nearly 2,000m of climbing and a reminder that some of the most memorable adventures are the ones that challenge you.
